I picked this up today in another local antiques market, 41 dated and maker marked, with the foil lined dome. It has been overpainted white on top of it's original khaki tan colour.
A bit salty, but a used example.

Whatever its just an opinion.
Nice helmet & a well known maker label, of not just these helmets but liners & crash helmets.
very nice! has it been emulsioned white like mine? people often ruin these by painting them white.
Excellent catch. Congrats. Really like that.
Im personally a big fan of the original tan colour (also just as a colour - not just because its original).
I wonder why anybody would paint over one fo these helmets - guess, they thought white looked more fashinable than the drab tan colour?
My painted example had a 24th regt of foot badge stuck on the front, I think it must have been used for fancy dress or something.
Maybe a movie prop?
I have a few original tan coloured examples as well.

Jerry
