    Cool Dutch Achterhoeks ’40-’45 museum,

Last year on my vacation in the Arnhem region I visited the Achterhoeks ’40-’45 museum, it’s a medium large museum with very interesting dioramas and items such as a 8,8 cm Flak gun at the doorstep. They got displays of the Dutch army in 1940 until the liberation in 1945, here some pictures and I can say that a visit to this museum is very interesting. ...Welkom bij het Achterhoeks museum 1940-1945

Here some pictures of a Luftwaffe FLAK diorama in the museum, my personal favourite, these are the last pictures I provide because there still must be a reason left to visit the museum your self. Oorlogsmusea.nl

No thanks, my pleasure Ade, make sure you travel to Hengelo Gelderland (the same province as Arnhem) because there is another Hengelo in the province of Overijssel. It’s a very interesting museum and approximately 23 miles from Arnhem.

You are joking about it but I can tell you a funny story, two guys I know once planed to visit the panzer museum in Munster Germany. Instead of getting the right information first they drove to Münster Nordrhein Westfalen instead of Munster Niedersachsen, a detour of approximately 130 miles.

I did a similar thing once in Holland hence the big grin. Looking for a Jeep parts dealer we went to Rheden instead of Rhenen

    Cheers, Ade.
