Article about: I took this photo in 2006 at the Canadian War Cemetry at Groesbeek in Holland. You would not really expect to find a Red Army soldier there! I have also seen RKKA graves at other Allied ceme

    I took this photo in 2006 at the Canadian War Cemetry at Groesbeek in Holland. You would not really expect to find a Red Army soldier there!

    I have also seen RKKA graves at other Allied cemeteries on the Western front.

    Were there any Soviet Soldiers in that area during the war?

    Hi Guys, my frends and I have a theory that these were former Soviet POW's or maybe even men that fought previously in German Eastern volunteer units which turned themselves over to the British/Canadian forces and fought, or more likely, served in some form of auxiliary helper status and were later KIA.
