I know we have all seen this before but I thought I would publish my pictures from my visit last week

I found it ammusing that Madame Jenny Geenen-Dewez, the local innkeeper's wife, had the forward thinking to have the idea that it would bring her Inn or bed and breakfast more business in the future if the tank was kept in the village ! Clever lady!
    Thanks for looking

Was a perfect day for driving around the Ardennes, clear skies, not a cloud in the sky although below zero temperatures all day, enjoyed it very much

What strikes me most when visiting these Panther's and Tigers, perhaps rather obviously is the size of them compared to the Sherman !!
I really struggle to comprehend how the Allied Tank Crews felt going into battle against these so far superior machines of war !! Brave men indeed !

My type of day, love it when it's cold, but nice and bright, especially in the vacinity of a lovely King Tiger

Yes it was a perfect trip. especially visiting the Panthers at Houffalize and Grandmenil, Manhay ( see the threads )

To be honest, I am not a big fan of Museums, although I do visit them of course. To me I would rather be out exploring the real museum, the battlefields and terrain where the history was actually made. Seeing these relics in their natural habitat was special

    Cheers
