Found this while cruising youtube just now. The idea and visual effect of it is definitely evocative and interesting but I hate to start thinking about the inevitable rapid deterioration of the helmets and the mg42s just standing out there in the open

I agree. An extraordinary collection, but Its very surprising (and somewhat distressing!) to see a large and valuable collection like this out in the open.

Strange, how things have different value to different people . I´m sure this guy just put up a helmet once in a while, when he find any on the nereby ground, and probably not thinking of it as an interesting TR collection :-)
