Judging from the pics, they must have a lot of accidents over there. They're all driving on the wrong side of the street!

    Hi Nick

That is Shepherds Tavern, 50 Hertford St, London W1. It was the unofficial pub of Bomber Command in WWII, and is just 5 minutes' walk from the new Bomber Command Memorial in Piccadilly.

The photo was taken on the afternoon of the Dambusters awards at Buckingham Palace in 1943.

Forget it, Yank...they're hopeless. We've been trying for over a Century now to teach these silly Brits how to drive cars, but they still keep getting things backwards....It's a wonder Any of em are still alive....

    Indeed.

As Cecil Rhodes famously uttered: "Remember that you are an Englishman, and have consequently won first prize in the lottery of life."

    So there.

We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
