Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
Very interesting, thanks for sharing. A pleasant suprise seeing the Flak tower photos as I was under the impression that this huge type was all destroyed after the war. I would love to take a walk inside. They are HUGE!
Cheers, Edwin
my pleasure, actually there are still 2 flak towers left in hamburg, the 2nd one is located in willhemsburg, a very bad place to be, What most people call "turkish territory" lots os robberys, gang fights,etc..
That was the main reason why we didnt go there.
Later on i will continue to post photos of neuengamme camp.
Cheers.
