    Hello Everyone,

As some of you will be aware I have recently returned from a trip to the battlefields of Russia where I was accompanied by Historian and Author (War without garlands - Operation Barbarossa) Bob Kershaw. In this thread I will be following the route taken by the Das Reich division along the Minsk road from the penultimate Moscow defence line (Mozhaisk line) situated at the Napoleonic and WW2 battlefield at Borodino to the two locations nearest Moscow reached by a; A large military force and b; a small recce unit.

1; The Borodino monument surrounded by defences from both 1812 and 1941.
