Very nice! Both photo's were made on the Scheveningen beach near The Hague; the first one near the entrance to the port (about where the Vissershavenweg ends in the Strandweg). You can see the Kurhaus in the background. The second photo was made in front of the Kurhaus.
I live about 2.5 km away from there.
Thanks earlymb...you should also be able to recognize these places..not far from you.
Here is the source of the pics
World War II - Bas de Mos
Kamp Duindorp, an internment camp created after the war for locking up NSB members.
Yup. The first set of pics were made at the beginning of the Keizerstraat (sea-side) in Scheveningen, right next to the church (just out of frame on the left side). The second set was made at the intersection of the Westduinweg and Houtrustweg. Third set is the South pier of the harbour entrance, and the fourth set is at the foot of the North pier. There still are plenty of bunkers in this area, but mostly hidden from view now. All locations are 15 minutes or less away by bicycle for me...
The 3th set is the Keizerstraat again, but from the other side. The NSB marches on the Strandweg; the old building in the background is Pavillion de Witte. The other sets seem to be taken around Scheveningen too.
