    Default USS Wisconsin

Visited the USS Wisconsin (Battleship) last week while on mini-vacation in Virginia. Unfortunately, a cloudy day, but got some decent pics. It is set up to match its final combat missions during the Gulf War. I find these behemoths to be awe inspiring. The fact that something this enormous and heavy still floats is an engineering feat. And to think aircraft carriers are even bigger. Amazing! Enjoy

Museum. Navy turned her over to the City of Norfolk, VA, home of the Atlantic Fleet. She is very clean and the volunteers seem to take great pride in her appearance. Very willing to answer questions and just chit-chat.

The crewman in the last pic looks a little on the Young side, though..

Haha! That's my little girl, 20 months old. She is wondering where lunch is. She can pack away some serious food

Great pics mate Looks like a really cool place to explore. The sign with the Iraqi town names, is that indicating a barrage on those targets?
