    Default Orbec Normandy 1944 & 2008

    Here are a few of my Then and Now photo's taken this Summer at Orbec Normandy. The mixed German forces pictured are the lucky ones who escaped the closing of the Falaise pocket and are in head long retreat toward the river Seine.
    You'll probably notice how little the place has changed over the years. Also notice even the mesh fence and gate in one of the pictures it is still the same after 63 years, also notice the rare Brumbarr, believed only 12 served in Normandy and obviously at least one escaped although it probably was abandoned on the banks of the Seine (no bridges and few ferries were available to transport the armour across).

    Thank you for your positive comments, here are a couple more taken in Orbec. I couldn't include them with the original thread because they were in the wrong format.
