Default RIP: Tony Crane XXI Indep Para Coy

Just had the sad news that my friend Tony Crane has passed away.

Tony served as a sniper in the battle of Arnhem. His tally of kills written on wallpaper is on display in the Airborne Museum, Oosterbeek.

His looks really belied his age. When I first met Tony some 10 years ago now at the unit's reunion, I did even not think he was a Vet.

Here is Tony in a photo I took of him last year.

Please see this site to read more and see some video's of Tony recounting his service.

    RIP Tony.

    Cheers, Ade.

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Here are a couple pics of your Grandad I took back in 2003 with him holding a No.4 T sniper rifle.

    Cheers, Ade.

My condolences dicko86. What an outstanding gentleman your grandfather was. The international family of paratroopers has lost an honored senior member. RIP Mister Crane.
