101st Airborne Patch

Article about: Hey guys, I found this patch at a local antique shop, I have not purchased it yet, the list price on it is \\$140 i have tried reviewing and studying this patch as I know there's alot of info

    Thanks for the Comments guys, and thank you for that added info Steve, I had come across the eye patch corner site for research before. I find myself bouncing from patch to patch thinking I have a similarity with 4 or 5 of the patches, then realizing they are all of different era's and then I'm back to square 1.

    I know exactly what you mean, Garret - I do the same thing ! I'm thinking that about
    95% of all the 101st ABN patches we see for sale are post war types, simply because
    they have the tan or blue base material that seems to be the 'tell'.

    I do look for the 'snow' backs, but believe it comes down to what the eye looks like.
    On Mark Bando's site, almost all the WWII ID'd ones have solid
    black eyes.........
