Picked up this patch at a local antique shop for $25 bucks and was wondering if its authenticity and when it was manufactured if it was indeed manufactured in ww2 as the owner claimed. I checked the previously linked Eagle Patch Corner and am split between a couple of the designs. Thanks for your input.

i'm no expert on these patches, but I do know they made them into the Vietnam
War era and continue to make them today, but I'm thinking this one is of
more recent vintage by the looks of it, especially the edges and
the way the tab has been machine sewn to a garment.

    Just my gut reaction...............

Perhaps someone with solid knowledge of WWII versions can chime in !
    Regards,

    Steve.

After futher review I feel this is a modern REPRO In my opinion beak and head look wrong and some other concerns. My point of the back is that it should have a snow look to it hope im wrong but you did only pay a repro price these will bring much more than that for a Orig patch in the hundreds... ERIC

Looks like a merrowed edge modern patch that somebody cut off the "tail". The W.W.2 patch should have a cut edge with kahki material showing. Rich A. in Pa.

Wouldn't doubt that I got cheated out of a couple bucks. I found a canteen and some covers at a decent price that probably made up for it. Link of the back just to confirm....
