101st Airborne patch - original?

Hi. What do you think about this patch. Oryginal? I have it with the M-1943 field jacket.

I always presumed the "Airborne" section was separate on the WW2 versions ..

Depends which type the patch was, not all were separate. I used to have a couple of British made beauties but had to sell them to raise funds, regret it now but thats life
