Default 101st Airborne Patch - What Era.........?

Another eagle for U.S. patch guys. The tab is attached, and it does not glow.
From what I've seen and read, there is much confusion over whether these
patches are WWII or post-war, and it seems that the majority
are from the 1950's and 60's.........

Hey Steve, i am not an expert on these at all, but this site here has a world of information, it can be tricky trying to narrow it down to one patch I have found as some have so many similarities.

I know as the site states that there was only 3 tabs out of 8 variants that had the Airborne tab attached. Correct me if I am wrong guys.

a poor fake, based on the fact that it appears to have been worn and washed possibly renacting is why this patch does not glow

It's a fake because it appears to have been worn and washed?

    Thanks everyone.

Not sure what is meant by washing ? Modern detergents usually create a glow in fabrics.

'Eagle Patch Corner' is a good place to start researching these Garret, and I've visited
many times ! - I believe you have to buy Mark Bando's book to get all the info.

The eye of this patch is different from others I've seen, and it might indeed be
an expensive fake for reenacting - poor enough to fool me - I thought
it looked good ! The tan base material and colours seem
    to be correct.........

Hi Steve it is the first time I have seen this type of eye, but I do like the look of this patch. I wish you luck in your answer.

    Thanks Eric.

Mark talks of variants on his site, and there are many other
types he does not explain or show pics of.
    Fingers crossed.........!
    Regards,

Hey, Steve, ya I noticed the eye did not seem to be something a person could match very easily, Iv been researching for fun to get better on patches, and Iv found the eye is one of the first things to go to for answers.

I'm saying this is a fake becuase of the tan trim around the edge is never a good sign when looking at patches. I've seen tons of these patches and I am sure that this is reproduction, please post a picture of the back if you could

The tan trim type are called 'cut edge'. ( I'll post a photo of the reverse
of the above patch when I can ! )

In the meantime - here's another for your scrutiny.........
