I don't have good feelings about this combination.
Firstly the pictures are nowhere near the quality needed to asses the insignia itself.
However, the badges look to me to be totally without wear and seem to be freshly attached. I believe I can see the bright red thread used to attach the Airborne strip for sure.
That "Airborne" strip in itself would raise questions for me as it was intended to be worn by non-parachute ie glider troops and shouldn't be found together with the "Parachute" or "Parachute Regiment" titles.
The whole group of badges look to me from these pictures to be some of the very good repro items currently on the legitimate re-enactor market..
As I say, much better pics needed but for me the combination is wrong anyway. Also I am not at all sure about the "slip over" on the epaulette but can't recognise the colour or the material.
See what our airborne specialists think.
Regards
Mark

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
Thank you Mark for your opinion and I am looking forward for the experts!

Dusty says
Apart from commenting that against the regs sometimes airborne and para titles were worn together, everything else mark said is correct, not something I would buy.

Whatever its just an opinion.
Hi Gerry, dead right of course. Squaddies being what they are the world over and allowing for the proclivities of individual unit commanders plus the cachet of the word "Airborne" hardly surprising.
I didn't mention that as I thought it might muddy the waters a little when the piece shown is clearly a "duck egg"
Perhaps I should have so thanks for the added input

6th Airborne div were issued and wore the airborne strip and para titles. It wad an error as Mark suggested, only attached non parachute regiment were meant to wear them.
An original and genuine Caen area barnfind sold earlier this year.
