    Default British airborne jeep

Recently I saw an image on these forums, but I cant seem to find the thread anymore through the search function.

It was a British Airborne willys jeep, which had multiple cylinder tubes mounted on top of the front bonnet in stacks of 3.
I am guessing they where ammo containers for the PIAT or mortar?

If someone knows the picture I am talking about, please attach a link to the thread here.

    Thank you

They are 75mm Pack Howitzer ammo containers. Here is my original Airborne Jeep with them in place.

    Cheers, Ade.

Hi Brian, thanks. I have written the full story of my Jeep on the forum somewhere. I have driven it to Arnhem 13 times. About a 1000 mile round trip.

    Built May 25th 1942.

She is off the road at the moment: I am rebuilding the brakes and a seal needs replacing on the gearbox, then I will respray.

    Cheers, Ade.
