Hi Guys, here is a sweetheart from my collection.
The AAC badge was worn by the Glider Pilot Regt during WW2. It was also worn by the Parachute Regt before the adoption of their own distinctive cap badge in 1943.
Cheers, Ade.

Nice one Ade!
Here's one made of mother of pearl, about the size of a collar badge.
Nice badges Ade and LucN.
I was told these RAF sweetheart badges were made from an aircraft windshields.

That is correct. Using Perspex was a very popular for medium for making homemade sweetheart badges. "Plastic" was very fashionable at the time, being considered a modern material. Unlike today where we tend to think of it as being cheap and nasty.
They are great little badges.
Cheers, Ade.
