    Hi,

A few weeks ago I picked up a British Para wing that I'm having trouble dating. I knew at the time that this was not the typical WW2 pattern, although it was in expensive so I decided to go for it.

This badge is 4 inches across and doesn't glow under a black light.

    Thanks!

I am certain this is the Australian version, but I cannot tell you when it dates from.
    Regards,

    Jerry

Two things spring to mind, 1. Air despatcher, the item under the 'chute looks more like a load. 2. para trainer, the first jumps were made from a tethered balloon at Ringwood? and perhaps these instructors had a badge made up privately.

It's Indian made from around WWII, you can't really put an exact date on it.

There's a ton of variation, here is one of mine.Dating of Weird British Para Wings.
