This is a nice little phrase book titled Soldiers Arabic phrase book for the Middle East Command. It has quite a few pages and is a small size (about the size of a packet of cigarettes)
An interesting book produced by the US Navy which is almost childlike. It runs to 16 pages and is one of a series produced
A brown Army version of the Bakelite button compass attached to a piece of its issue card. It is shown alongside the black version. As can be seen the luminescence degrades over time.
An uncommon 'out of sequence' 43 series map showing sheet C and sheet E. Apparently there was a print run of 60,000, however, they do not turn up that often.
Another rare artificial silk GSGS 4072 map. This one is dated 1942 and shows N.E 42/14 YA.5 CHIETI and N.E. 42/18 YA.6 SHKODRA
This is a very rare map which covers the Middle East. It is a Bartholomew map and is unusual due to the fact that it is a coloured map and is not one of a coloured series. It is coded 'M.E/0.1/F' and dates from 1942. It is shown alongside a Zones of France map to show the similarities and a standard Monochrome Bartholomew map which covers a small portion of the map.
A 'V-for-Victory' match book. These were supplied in a number of the early escape boxes
