    Default Help Dating Airborne Pin/Badge

I purchased a mixed lot of U.S. army military badges recently at an estate sale. It includes a small airborne badge (two parts, total about 1 inch long) and I'm curious if it could be WWII vintage. It does have a screw back which might suggest that it is early? Could this be a PX novelty item? I appreciate any help.
