Help with dennison needed

The wing looks added, ...... and from what I believe, when the collar is buttoned, there is more chance of it being a marine issue ... possibly due to corrosion through more use in a wet enviroment.
(A close up of the wing would be helpful).

The wings look newer and are as already suggested an add on and look to be fairly modern compared to the smock. Not an expert on smocks but it looks in very nice condition.

hello mate . has it got any poppers on the rear to hold up the tail at all . if it has not its a first pattern smock

This is a modification done by Belgium paras who used British surplus smocks after the war.

That thought crossed my mind with the buttons in place of the zip.

i bought a smock similar at beltring years ago and it was a first pattern with these mods on it . notice how the front is one piece material as on first patterns ...
still a good find ....
