    These bikes were sold off after the war as surplus. An old friend of mine, a pre-war and WW2 RAF pilot, purchased one for his son still in it's drop container! Sadly both it and the bikek have long gone, as has my friend sadly.

    There was a civilian version produced after the war, the "Corgi" and these turn up painted OD and referred to as Parabikes. Whilst based on the Welbike, they are not identical.

    That is Very interesting Pics I can't imagine of folding bicycle parts and using them in war.
