The beret has been tailored by removing part of the lining.

I had the impression the leather sweatband had been taken off and put back in a different way, note how the grommets are next to the tie-tapes. Can either of the previous owners confirm?

That's true Luc.....the lining cannot be tailored without removing the leather sweatband.
