Para regiment cap badge clarification

Hi there, I recently bought what I hope is a WW2 Para cap badge, but I'm still learning a lot as I go and was wondering if you guys could help clarify it's authenticity?

I only stumbled across the site while researching it, what a great site, I'll be here quite a lot now I've started collecting, I have an old ARP Silver badge and a 1914 Service star so far, and hopefully this Para badge will be my 3rd piece.

No, it is just a less commonly found pattern.
