SAS beret for ID

Can anybody tell me from what period is this SAS beret?
Is this genuin item?

I know this is an old thread so just some comments....the vinyl trim would be correct for the 1960's, though unusual to see the badge mounted without being cut out as a shield shape, however all SAS beret badges start out on a square but are cut to shape prior to mounting. The nearly identical arm badge was worn for a short period uncut like this, but that was only during the late 40's and early/mid 50's and was not of this pattern.
