ww2 british para wings opinions

I have seen this set for sale and I want a set to restore them to a tunic. I think these are a good period example but wanted to check. Sadly there is no picture of the reverse.

The wings are 1944. Prior to this there were many variations, including the printed versions. The twists in the rigging lines are the clue. Previous to this one (this one is May 44) the rigging lines had a cable type look with thick lines that were made to look twisted, or thin lines that were twisted. The 44 wing had a double stitch to give it a similar look. If you peel and end back of the wing on the uniform and the backing colours are any colour like, black, blue, red, yellow etc, this will comfirm a D Day wing. Our US allie were by then getting the materials through to GB, and one of the greatest shortages was cotton thread. When the call came to renew a wing for the invasion (6th Div) all the blues and white threaded cotton got used up so they used any cotton on the backing.
I have many of these wings in the colours mentioned above. Hope this helps.
