Article about: sorry for asking lots of questions but is it worth getting the badge for it because it has marks were it originally had a badge and the man selling it to me said it was British. ive seen a p

Hi Samantha, not good news on this one, sorry. For starters the cap badge is a well known fake. Note the "blob" die flaw under the top left wing.
The beret itself is certainly post war and I think the Moss Bros label is an addition. I don't like the placement of it.

Hi Matt, you are OK paying a fiver for it.
Early postwar 1950's berets are virtually the same as wartime. Later ones from the 1980's etc have fabric not leather edged sweatbands.
This might not even be British issue. Many many countries have copied the Red Beret.
