    Possible a rear stabilizer section .....

    More than likely a wing section off a light aircraft. If you could give the dimensions of the section it would give a better idea of what part it is. But looking at those turnbuckles and bracing wire, I would guess it is a wing section.

    I think it is a wing tip from a Piper Cub light aircraft. I don't think that it was military from the paint color.
