Crashed on landing at Iqaluit Frobisher Bay Airport,Newfoundland.
C124 Globemaster II: Top 4 round windows serve the upper deck, which could be folded up to create maximum cargo space or lowered for seating troops. Middle two windows are on the main deck. Lower window is in "p" or "o" compartment where the auxilary power unit (apu) and access to the wing crawlways. Engines are R4360.
Bluecord, the C-97/KC-97 were Boeing designs using the same wing and tail as the B-29. There was also a commercial airliner version. I think the C-124 was a Douglas design.
