Canadian Lancaster in Jersey, Channel Islands.

Since Monday I have been lending a hand at the Jersey International Air Display here in the Channel Islands. I was able to get up close and personal with the canadian Lancaster as well as the BBMF Lanc. I spent quite a while on my own yesterday morning around 7am just walking up and down around these magnificent aircraft just staring at them and looking them over in quiet contemplation. It was truly amazing to look them over and think about what it had been like to be in one during the war on a bombing raid over Germany. It was impressive to actually see them both flying side by side..... something I don't expect to ever see again. I hope you like the photos. I may have included some of the BBMF Lanc by mistake as well as the odd Hurricane but the camera was going off like a veritable machine gun not knowing which way to point it.
