    Nice Pics! I worked inside the base a few times...out in the boonies. I swear those pilots up there would hunt for us just so they could do a high speed pass over us at low level. Scared the crap out of me every time. I couldn't hear them coming over the noise of the equipment I was working on.

    To this day I hate Cold lake,I was one of the first IS(integral systems) to be trained on the CF18 in 1984.I was still stationed at CFB Chatham,did the course at Cold Lake and then to my horror was posted to Cold Lake in 1985,Funny enough when Casper Weinberg came to Ottawa to sign the purchase agreement with the Canadian government I was on the honour guard at CFB Uplands(Ottawa),And I had a fixed bayonet lol

    Fantastic pictures of some classics zwerge. The paint on the planes looks great. I hope they keep them maintained. Here in the states, they usually put planes on display and then let the paint degrade until it's peeling off. Welcome to the forum gord. I take it that the "Cold" in "Cold Lake" must be an understatement?
