I seem to recall that building the aircraft from scratch as was proposed, was originally estimated at £4,000,000. This was later revised to "approximately" £6,000,000 and a link up with the Vulcan to the Skies project as well as a National Lottery grant was mooted.
Neither of these things have happened, and whilst talking to a friend of mine at Cosford regarding this subject a few months back who had some connection to the project, he let slip that since it was started back in 2011 they have not yet raised more than 1% of the estimated cost. Therefore regretfully, I'm not holding my breath on this one...
