Short Stirling remains in Russia: does anyone know?

about the supposed existance of short stirling remains somewhere in the ussr??(apparently a one off sent to the Russians to seee if they liked it!)

There was a recent thread on the Flypast Forum discussing this aircraft.

Of course, it all depends if it does exist, and if it is possible to bring it home!

Thankyou guys for replying, sorry not been about much to reply earlier (xmas & all that - but i'm sure you've all had your fair share too!) Yes! i hope the rumers come to something too,i'm an ex Brit and have something of a softspot for the unsung Stirling and the guys that flew them so thik it is way overdue if/when one is preserved or reborne so to speak, still, lets hope ,as it was not long ago we thought there were no Hampdens Cheers!
