Those Beaufighters were in ETO, notice the Invasion Stripes.

They were very effective weapon against ships.

At the PTO, the Australians frequently used them to attack Japanese ships.

    Again, they had many variations.

    Cheers!

Well Rene, I know that my grandfather was foreman of the electrical section of the Chullora locomotive workshops in Sydney where parts for the Beaufighter, Beaufort and Lincoln were assembled. Knowing how fastidious the man was, the electrics would not have been crappy. Must have been the other parts of the build

My old next-door neighbor, Flying Officer John Frazer was in 3 Beaufighter crashes. One of which was a result of a mechanical fault.

I should have a complete list of all Beaufighter losses with the RAAF in my libary.
Beaufort, Beaufighter and Mosiquito in Australian Service. Stewart Wilson.
I was lucky and put a number of Wilsons publications into my libary many years ago.
They sell for drug money these days.
This one is on Amazon for $150.00

    Cheers

Finally, a P-38 ! The Japanese pilots would called them "Twin Headed Devil", during the war.

One of my favorite U.S. fighters of WWII.

Two movies came to my mind:

"633 Squadron", and "Mosquito Squadron", very good movies.

I think they used 4 or 5 Mosquitos, and only one survived. What a shame......
