Wait for a few more knowledgeable members to comment as these aren't my strong point but I believe this is a good Frank & Reif badge. Most features seem to match known and accepted originals.

I believe you're OK and this is an authentic badge that has been poorly stored. The pitting on the reverse seems more like the cause of oxidation than from a casting process.
