Hi Troy,
At first glance the badge looks ok but looking a bit closer I'm not sure this is an original.
The finish looks like it has pitting on the surface, front and back which is not a good sign. There are minor differences in the makers mark too. I don't think there should be cut outs under the eagle's wings either. The hardware is also a little different from what I would be comfortable with on an original badge.
Have a look at this one for comparison:
Frank and Reif Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen.

I agree Adrian. Pitting in both the high and low areas. The catch looks very crudely attatched too. No good IMO
Thanks Adrian and Panzer1031, someone else mentioned the cut-outs to me as well, but then I found this, one has one and the other has two, apparently both original. Would this have been because of different makers or using different dies (or whatever they're called).

Some makers did have the cut outs, but I'm not sure Frank and Reif should have them. The badges in the link above are by different makers.

No worries Adrian, and thanks again mate! Should still be ok for re-enacting though?
Providing the price is good. No point spending a fortune on a repro badge being sold at an original price just for re-enacting. If you want a decent repro badge for that, send me a message, I have one of my 'mistakes' that would be ideal for the purpose.
