    Hello folks.

Yet another addition to my collection of combat badges. A big thanks to Jamie D. for this one, who was kind enough to offer it to me a few days ago, and kinder still to let it go at a great price.

This one has previously been shown on the forum. It is a hollow-backed example. It has been previously identified as a Meyer/Schickle-type design, and is made of tombak rather than zinc. I've learnt that the zinc versions of this specific design are far more rare, but not necessarily more desirable. It is a solid badge, with a nice heavy patina and crisp detailing. A worthy addition to my case of combat awards!

    Regards, B.B.

Thanks for the kind words. I've always preferred worn examples to minty ones, as the wear and tear better displays the history.

And that makes one full Riker case! Who knows, I may be able to fit in a couple more wound badges...

Thank you all again for the kind words. At this rate I'll soon run out of room for displaying things. Doesn't mean I'll stop collecting, though.

You never run out of room Jordan, if you have to sacrifice your underpants hamper to fit some more Riker cases in so be it!

Nice display too. What maker is your Bronze PAB?
