    Hi Leon,

    It's an honest Karneth 'Block hinge' GAB. Although some may think the hinge and catch crimps have been repaired with solder, I believe this is not the case as i've seen many of these RK badges that have the greyish darkening around the crimps and have no repairs. Condition is fair to good.

    Hi Ned, this particular one under close inspection does not show any sign of repair. There are areas where the Silvering is on top of the grey solder. I guess that the solder used on these was either a poor adhesive for the silver and simply wears away or it is absorbed into the solder itself. Leon.
