I'm not sure if i'm correct, but aren't there not meant to be any rivets behind the badge?? If so, it may be fake...but i dont know.

The one piece types are 'un-numbered', so rivets are supposed to appear on the numbered
variety IMO. I cannot tell you if this one is genuine or not, as I am not 'up' on these
numbered badges, but I have some suspicion,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.

There are certain details which the experts on the forum will tell us about
    when they see it !

In my opinion, the badge looks poorly made. On the reverse, the bayonet and grenade seem to be cut out on your badge. The originals that I have seen have a solid flat back. On the front, the grenade especially is very poor. Check out originals on here http://www.germanmilitaria.com/Heer/photos/H057163.html and the difference is almost immediately apparent.

Also, the hinge and catch do not look consistent with items that I have seen.

    Sorry, but my opinion only.

    Hello Robert,

I too would love to hear what the experts have to say on this one. It appears to be a Juncker judging by the eagle's head and rear set-up, but the eagle's eye bothers me as well as the lack of detailing in the wreath, though that could be due to the photo quality. If this is a Juncker, the knife handle's three "rivet" holes should be in a straight line. Just thinking out loud, sorry I'm not much help

    BR,
    James

Not really fella, originals fetch in and around $2000-$2500 at least.
