I am told that all 16 tanks have now sold, at about £51,000 / E65,000 each. So despite hard times, some people still have big money to spend on militaria.

    Cheers, Ade.

Money makes money. Especially if you have some,a lot. Hard times appear to hurt the middle class in general.

Also one of the re-enactment groups I've been dealing with in the Philippines really wanted to try to purchase ones of theses, however I think it was well beyond there groups funds.

Remarkable! Must be nice to have the money to buy 16 tanks at once! I'm sure they will all go to good homes.
A friend of mine used to have a Stuart in his backyard back in the late 80's. I believe it was an M5 with the sloped front armor. I wish I would have taken pictures of it. I think he sold it for $25,000.

    Best Regards,
