    To all interested...

    These are some photos of a discovered unique world wide survived Caproni Ca 310 front fuselage metal section , in the fields around ex Regia Aeronautica air base in Maritsa Rhodes Greece, during the late 80's.
    This fuselage section was used by local shepherd for many years after the end of ww2 , for....sheltering sheeps and goats, covered with nylon and metal sheets.

    The Hawker Hurricane had a part steel framed fuselage, not as much as the Caproni though. Very interesting and thanks for posting.

    The most strange things have survived after war because they found other daily day uses with civilians.

    Hello everyone, Thank you for your interest.
    The metal front fuselage section was the only metal skin structure major part of this type of aircraft. The rest fuselage as and the wings had wooden beams with canvas and plywood covering.
    All the internal cockpit items of the found section, were obviously removed by the Italian staff during the war (bolts were locally attached on structure ), when this aircraft became for some reason not aiworthy.
