Another one home. Well done to all involved.

It is good to see the recovered artefacts on display; are there also any photos of the crew's graves?

I've heard that in Russia is a special graveyard for the found pilots.

I have a question, the original mesage states that the body found was that of the Senior Leutenant, but what happened to the body of the Sergeant??? I see part of his uniform (sleeve) with rank. Was he found also?
And oh yeah, from someone that has recovered MIAs, the white mushy stuff is exactlly what you think it is!!!

The white mushy stuff IS what you think it is!

It looks like the bodies have undergone soporification, which is consistent with being submerged at low temperature.

    Off-topic, but...

When Donald Campbell's "Bluebird" was recovered from Coniston Water a few years ago, the salvage team also located and recovered Campbell's body. His remains had also undergone soporification. Details here:
The Bluebird Project . (click on the Retrospective Diary page for an explanation of this process).

Quite a find. Amazing condition of artifacts. I am guessing there was tissue still on remains of crewmen. Looked like a U.S. made parachute pack.
