    Hello dear gents!
Yesterday i buried my 97 yo Granny in one of the cemetery of Dieppe.
Wonderful freezing sunny day for a sad moment. She had a long and rich life, but the loss still remains..
At noon,we were invited to the house of old friends of the family for lunch.
These people made my day when i was younger and you're gonna understand why.I never had the luck to take pics of the collection of this man,"sunday diver" on the numerous wrecks in front of Dieppe.
He displayed them in the former Museum in Pourville ,prior to its closing, then he brang them back to his house.
The beautest relics are from the HMS Berckeley, sunk apparently by a DO 17,who dropped his bombs to gain speed to escape a RAF fighter....
All the relics have been cleaned by my friend.
I'm not a navy specialist so if you have a name to put under a picture,i will be very glad.

Hi Seb, very sorry for your loss. She reached a wonderful age.

These are fantastic. I really like the signal telegraph machines. One would be on the bridge and the other in the engine room.

    Cheers, Ade.

G'day mate, sorry for your loss, all of us on this great forum love history but at 97 you grandmother was certainly a lady who lived it, experienced it and contributed to it, I'm sure you are very proud.

Fantastic display items and to know the exact history behind them is terrific, great stuff mate!

Thanks to all for your kind words on my grannie.Indeed, she had both a long and sad life...She lost her husband ,her unique son,her daughter in law,she never knew her father, killed in 1918 in the Mount Kemmel, but she kept going on.
