this site is situated in northern france ,in the garden of a once occupied farmhouse bar in a village.the story is as a young boy in late 44 saw the germans digging a trench then desposing of there uniforms and gear before
leaving.knowing that it was there but never touching it.any way after 63 long years the story made its way to me and like a shot i was there,digging wow!!!
i almost forgot to show you,my rifle relic it was perched ontop of a full ammo box filled with 1500 tracer bullets 5 feet under ground.
its a 98a not the usual 98k.a typical end of war issue.
Nice story, in Eastern front the same found stuff usually was found in German garbages. The k 98 a looks to me from the first world war. As I know they was reissued in ww2. This is the interesting find. Anyway, thanks for the great story with nice pictures!
