during a few ww2 hunts i've found me some balls.
kepth them, but now i've found more i'm becoming curious what the are.

they have the size of about 1,2cm (½inch).
metal looks like steel. they are quite hard and have a blueisch glow.
almost all of them do have a flattend part like it hit something.
as it looks by other finds these are mostly found on the allied side of a zone, but as both sides where moving one direction it is not for sure.

    what are these?

thank you banksy. that was what i was thinking to, but better to hear it from another.

is to say from what kind of ammo these are?
there was no heavy artillery involved. it was a small short fight.
biggest was sherman-tank, and mines. the rest was light armoured vehicles and infantry with mortars and so.

I Believe the British used Lead and the Germans used Steel. I've no idea what the USA used.

    thanks m3bobby
that's what i expected as i look at the positions of that small front. probably german.

could it be that these came out off mines? or does it have to be artillery?
mines could explain some, by documentation and other finds (minedamage?) overthere.
from german artillery can't be excluded, but is less to expect.
