    A few more pics.

I do like the shot of the moss covered US 75mm fuse. You had to watch where you walked.

The centre pic is of a very large calibre shell.

This area is now inert of most ordnance after a big forest fire in 2005. My French friends say many explosions were heard!

The pic on the righ shows two shells which someone (not us!) had dug up and then just left exposed. Very stupid.

    Cheers, Ade.

Non ordnance items we did get to bring home as souvenirs, such as these metal shell holders. These were parts from the wooden transit frames used by the Germans. Some have paint traces plus they are nicely WaA marked.

Hi Raymond, we did not take a metal detector with us on any of our trips there. So we did not dig anything at all. Everything was surface found.

As we were flying home we only bought the ammo tins etc home with us.

    Cheers, Ade.

Hi James, you need to go to Le Muy. There is a very good, but small museum there too. Talk to the lads that run it.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Hey Ade,

Just been to Le Muy, and of course, being Monday, everything was closed including the Liberation museum. Hopefully will return later on in the week. I'll be sure to let you know what i discover.

    Cheers,

    James.
