Incredible that all the crew survived the landing and AA fire
my hometown35 Lancasters of 9 and 617 Sqdn RAF took off from Lossiemouth, Scotland
Never heard of this one before, so thanks.
Interesting that the wreckage was returned to the site.
Cheers, Ade.

Now that would be a fantastic site to visit, and isn't it great that one of the crew returned to the crash site in 2002. Also nice to note that there was a Canadian and an Aussie in the crew, any other Lanc could have had English, Scots, Welsh, Aussies, Kiwis, South Africans, Canadians etc... Lancaster crews really were from all corners of the Empire. Thanks for posting the link, it's a great story!
That is a great website with some amazing photos, It's amazing how many large pieces of aircraft are still out there
My favourite piece so far! Liberator B-24 Plukkutjønnfjell Snåsa I wouldn't mind the tail piece or machine gun
EDIT
I want this one now Heinkel 111H Jonsvatnet
