Normandy Sherman track link

My Armoured Warfare In Normandy theme continues - hummed & hawed over this one for a bit before buying ( it's very heavy ! ).

But it's a Type 54-E1 all-steel link as used on Sherman M4A3 and has been salvaged from the US sector of the Normandy battlefield. No, I didn't dig it up myself but it's from a regular UK dealer who is seen at many shows over here.

The price certainly showed that these aren't as 'sexy' for collectors as German items . I'm happy with it.



( And, in case you're wondering - the model is 1/32 scale.... )
